أثر الموقع الاستراتيجي للأهواز على وضعها السياسي خلال العصر البويهي، حيث كانت الولاية إما تابعة لأمير فارس أو لأمير العراق، وكان أمر السيطرة عليها من كليهما يحتاج لخوض صراع بين الطرفين لحسم أمرها، إذ لم يكن هناك نظام محدد لتوزيع الولايات بين الأمراء سوى الحرب.
